======HOW CAN I BLOCK REMOTE PROXY SITE======


 
**Symptoms:**

  * How can I block Remote Proxy site  
  * Remote proxies not blocked by the Web Site filter  
  * Specific Remote Proxy site not block by Web Content Filter  
 

**Facts:** 
  * 3Com

**Fixes:** In order to have the X series Firewall block Remote Proxy sites follow the steps below :

  * **1)**  Enable Web Filter Service (Firewall -> Web Filtering)

//Note: please make sure the License Status  shows  Licensed //




  * **2)** Choose the Web Filter Profiles List you wish to modify (the default list is called default) (Firewall -> Web Filtering)



  * **3)** Select Productivity Categories and uncheck the box saying  Remote Proxies  (by doing this any site falling into the Remote Proxies category will be blocked)



 
If a specific remote proxy site is still not being blocked, then verify the site by using the Test URL (Firewall -> Web Filtering)
