======CAN I EXPORT A SNAPHOT OF THE SYSTEM TO AN EXTERNAL FILE FROM THE CLI?======

**Symptoms:**
  * How do I save a copy of a snaphot to an external file from the CLI?
  * Is there any way to export a snapshot from the CLI?
  * What is the CLI command to save a snapshot file.?
 
**Facts:**

**Fixes:** Although you can create a snapshot from the CLI using the command; 

  snapshot create <name of the File>

You cannot save this file externally from the CLI.  Exporting a snapshot is only supported from the Web interface of the X Family devices.
