PROCEDURE TO CONFIGURE SYSLOG FOR RAS1500

It must have: Syslog server (3CDaemon).

• Ethernet interface: 192.168.1.10/B
• PC connected by Ethernet interface: 192.168.1.1/B
• Address pool:
  • Starting address: 10.0.0.1
  • Pool size: 10

1.Add a dial-in user:

• add user jlgm pass jlgm ena yes type login,network,manage

2.Add a 'sink' of syslogs (The sink will be the PC that receives the messages):

• add syslog 192.168.1.1 facility log_auth

3. Add the standard UDP port where syslog messages are transmitted

• add ip udp 514

4. Save all

Note:The result can be checked by dialing in and looking at the events on the syslog server.
