Fixes: Premise: Customer would like to change the amount of available lines that internal phones can dial out on, by time of day, day of week, or manually by use of a button press. One such reason is that although the customer normally has a high number of outbound calls steadily throughout the day, at certain times (after a radio spot, for example), they need nearly all the lines reserved for incoming, but only for the rush. There are many permutations of this implication, but all revolve around the same key dial plan setup:
[ ] - Create a new Extension List in NetSet, (for example *0009) with the set of trunks to be used during the restricted times.
[ ] - If you want this to apply to only some phones, and not all, make a duplicate table in the dial plan and assign only those phones you want to restrict the outbound trunks. [ ] - Create a Route, call it "LocalCO_Restricted", using the new extension list you created. [ ] - Create a Timed Route. For the default route, choose the route "LocalCO". Create one timed route entry for "Other" system mode, which uses the custom route "Timed Trunk Restriction" [ ] - In the Table which you wish to have restricted trunk access, for all of the table entries starting with digit 9, change the Route from "LocalCO" to "Timed Trunk Restriction" (the timed route). DO NOT Change the route for 911, or 9911
The controlling factor for when the restricted trunk access will take place can be triggered one of two ways:
