1. The management IP address must be configured. For this, a PC must be connected through its serial port (COM1).

2. You must have serial communication software. Windows has the hyperterminal.

3. Communications software must be set to 9600bps, 8 bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity bits.

4. Connect the serial “null modem” cable to the console port of the 3300 switch.

5. After connecting the PC to the 3300 console port, the default management profile is

6. When you have a command line, place the command ip int def. Define an IP address and submask. In the other directions put 0.0.0.0.

After this, configure the PC so that its network card has an IP from the same subnet of the 3300 administration, with the same submask.

After this, connect the PC to one of the LAN ports of the 3300. Open the browser, enter the address defined above.

In the authentication window, place it:
