HOW DO I RESTRICT LAYER 2 TRAFFIC AMONG CLIENT IN A VLAN
Problem:
- How do I restrict Layer 2 traffic among client in a VLAN
- Restricting Layer 2 Forwarding Among Clients
- Preventing wireless client to wireless client communication within same VLAN
Fact: v4.1.6
- Wireless LAN Switches and Controllers
- Wireless LAN Switch WX1200
- Wireless LAN Controller WX4400
- Wireless LAN Controller WX2200
- Wireless LAN Switch WXR100
Fix: Wireless Switch version v4.1.6 or above implements Layer 2 Traffic Restrictions, which you configure as folllows:
- Set security l2-restrict vlan vlan-id mode enable permit-mac mac-address
Example:
- Set security l2-restrict vlan abc_air mode enable permit-mac aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff 11:22:33:44:55:66
