Defaulting a J100 Series Phone Updated on Nov 14 2019 About this task Use the following process to default a J100 Series phone.

warning: This process will remove all existing user and configuration data from the phone. It is not reversible.

Before you begin This process requires entry of the phone administration password. If not known or at default, then the phone may need to be configured with the address of a system that will provide it with a known phone administration password.

Procedure Use one of the following methods to access the phone's configuration menus. Access the menus by restarting the phone:

Remove and then reapply power to the phone.

Press Admin as soon as it is displayed.

Enter the administrator password and press Enter. The default password is 27238.

If the password was accepted, the configuration menu is displayed.

Access the menus whilst the phone is idle: This method can be used if the phone is already connected to a system.

Press the button.

Scroll down to and select Administration.

Enter the administrator password and press Enter. The default password is 27238.

Scroll down to and select Reset to defaults. Press Reset.

The phone is restarted:
