HOW TO CONFIGURE LINK AGGREGATION
The configuration that must be executed with the 4500G when the remote supports standard LACP. The following command lines must be executed on the 4500G:
Example for 3 links:
link-aggregation group 1 mode static link-aggregation group 1 description CONEXION-192.168.180.5 link-aggregation group 2 mode static link-aggregation group 2 description CONEXION-4400-192.168.180.27 link-aggregation group 3 mode static link-aggregation group 3 description CONEXION-192.168.180.46
Example configuration on the added port:
port link-type trunk port trunk permit vlan all broadcast-suppression pps 3000 undo jumboframe enable description CONEXION SWITCH IP 192.168.180.46 port link-aggregation group 3
The line stp edge port enable should not be applied.
It should be removed from such group participants.
In the case of 4400 and 4500, apply automatic configuration with LACP command on the desired ports.
Run the automatic LACP as follows:
1. In the 5500g leave the native port with simply the line: LACP enable (do not apply any other configuration only the line) 2. In the port of the 4400 or 4500g or 5500g, the same process should be applied, only the LACP enable line. 3. The machines generate the partner id. After creating the group apply the required settings. 4. To be sure, restart the ends at least 2 times and then the central one.
