INBOUND CALL FLOW FOR ANALOG LINES

Symptoms:

  • Inbound Call Flow for Analog Lines

Facts:

  • SuperStack 3 NBX
  • NBX 100
  • NBX 25
  • NBX Analog Line Card
  • NBX Call Processor
  • Incoming Call Flow
  • TLIM
  • POTS lines
  • Analog lines
  • Auto Extension
  • Auto Ext Time Out
  • Time of Day Mode

Fixes: To determine how incoming analog calls will behave, answer the questions below.

1. Are there mapped lines on at least one phone? If yes, go to 2. If no, go to 3.

2. Are the lines mapped on one phone or more than one? If on one phone, go to 4. If on more than one, go to 5.

3. Check the Time of Day mode (Clocked or Forced). The Auto Extension timer has no effect here. Route call immediately to the Auto Extension. See note.

4. Check Time of Day mode (Clocked or Forced). Start Auto Extension timer. Start User's Call Forward timer. If user's Call Forward expires first, forward call to user's Coverage destination. If Auto Extension Timer expires first, route to the Auto Extension Destination. See note.

5. Check Time of Day mode (Clocked or Forced). Start the Auto Extension timer. Check Delayed ringing settings. Ring Appropriate phones until the Auto Extension timer expires. When the Auto Extension timer expires, route call to the Auto Extension. See note.

NOTE: The call then follows the Coverage and routing rules of the device it has routed to.
