NBX-100 Quick Config Guide

  • 1. Config IP Address.
Default address = 192.168.1.190
  • Connect Console Cable
ifShow			// Verify IP Address
nbxIpConfig		// Configure IP Address
  • 2. Dialplan, Operation, Default File, Select suitable country file 3 or 4 digit, Import

Modify dialplan:

  • 3. System Configuration, System Wide, Enable Autodiscover:
  • a. Autodiscover Telephones
  • b. Autodiscover Line Cards
  • c. Autodiscover Digital Line Cards
  • d. Add phones to pickupgroup 1
  • 4. System Configuration, System Settings, Date & Time
  • 5. System Configuration, Business Identity, Name & Contact info
  • 6. User Configuration, Users,
    • a. Select Phone Extention, Modify
      • i. Modify, Ext Nubmer First Name, Last Name
  • 7. User Configuration, COS, Default User Group, Modify
    • a. Enable Access rights.
  • 8. Device Config, Device Type, select ISDN Board, Modify,
    • a. Online=Enable
  • 9. Device Config, Device Type, select Span List, Modify, Span_1
  • a. Interfacetype = E1
  • b. Co Switch = ETSI
  • c. Framing Type = Double Frame (multiframe without CRC4).
    • i. If problem, try Multiframe with CRC4
  • d. Line Code = HDB3
  • e. Line Length = N/A-E1
  • f. Online = enable
  • 10. Device Config, Device Type, select PRI Group, Modify, Pri Group 1
    • a. Online = Enable
  • 11. Dialplan, Pretranslator
    • a. dialin 8 digit direct mapping, Device Using
    • b. Add all ISDN PRI Channel.
  • 12. Dialplan, Pretranslator,
    • a. Dialout CLI pretranslator, Device Device Using for CLI
    • b. Add All ISDN PRI Channel.
  • 13. System Configuration, System Wide
    • a. Autodiscover Adjunct = Enable
  • 14. Device Configuration, Adjunct, Select Adjunct,
    • a. Modify, Select Associated Telephone
    • b. Button Mappings, Configure Ext Line number
  • 15. Report, Call Reporting, Enable

Trouble Shooting / Tips

If the incoming volume is low:

Device Config, Device Type, select Span List, Modify, Span_1 
Modify Audio Source Gain: Intput from default 4096 to 6000

If the outgoing volume is low

Device Config, Device Type, select Span List, Modify, Span_1 
Modify Audio Source Gain: Intput from default 4096 to 6000

The RJ48C T1 connector on the NBX Digital Line Card (both T1 & PRI) is standard T1 DTE configuration as follows:
