What is Dante?

One Connection. Endless Possibilities.: Dante is a network platform focusing on AV connectivity that’s easy to use. We enable communication, experiences, inspiration and collaboration to be shared between people and spaces using one connection.

Dante is a network platform focusing on AV connectivity that’s easy to use. We enable communication, experiences, inspiration and collaboration to be shared between people and spaces using one connection.

Dante AV is a networked audio and video (AV) solution developed by Audinate. It allows for the transmission of audio and video signals over standard Ethernet networks, replacing traditional point-to-point connections with a more flexible and scalable system. Here are some key points about Dante AV:

  • Unified Platform: Dante AV integrates both audio and video signals into a single network, simplifying the setup and management of AV systems.
  • Ease of Use: It uses standard 1 Gbps networks, making it easy to deploy and expand without the need for specialized cabling.
  • Interoperability: Dante AV ensures seamless interoperability between devices from different manufacturers, * providing a consistent and reliable user experience.
  • Scalability: The system can be easily expanded by adding more devices to the network, similar to how you would add a printer to a computer network.

Dante AV is widely used in various industries, including corporate environments, education, broadcasting, and houses of worship, due to its flexibility and high performance.

USC Universal Sequencing Controller 1 Space Sequencing Controller

Six-step sequencing provided by rackmount USC-6R sequencer, raceway mount MPR-SEQ or stand-alone MPR-SEQ-1C. Provides sequencing to any AC power distribution system that can be controlled by low voltage switch closure. Sequencing may be initiated locally via convenient front panel switch or by any momentary contact closure switch (single pole, double throw, center off). Remote switches are also available. The single rackspace USC-6R rackmount sequencer additionally features an interval delay selector of 1, 3 or 6 seconds between steps andfour different start delay settings to allow up to three USC-6R units to be interconnected to operate as a single, 18-step unit.

  • Provides 6-step sequencing to MPR remote power modules
  • Can also be used to control the PDC-915R-6 and PDC-915R-2
  • Adjustable start delay times
  • Adjustable sequence intervals
  • Up to 3 units can be joined to provide up to 18 steps of sequencing

Q-SYS™ Core Nano – Network I/O Processor

Core Nano

Q-SYS™ Core Nano – Network I/O Processor

The Q-SYS Core Nano audio, video and control (AV&C) processor, which extends the applications of the Q-SYS Ecosystem into a wider range of smaller-scale installations across corporate, higher education, healthcare and beyond. Built on the same foundational technology as the rest of the Q-SYS processor portfolio, including the best-in-class Q-SYS Core 110f, Core Nano is designed for applications with lower network channel capacity and/or targeted processing requirements.

Network I/O

Offering 64 x 64 network audio I/O capacity, the Core Nano was designed to support centralized processing for multiple rooms and/or installations that rely solely on networked, IP-based endpoints (like native Q-SYS devices or Attero Tech by QSC peripherals).

Rightsized. Uncompromised

Rather than deploying an AV&C processor with unused analog I/O that occupies a full rack space, Core Nano offers a smaller, space-efficient solution. However, it does not compromise on functionality; instead it delivers a fully-integrated and customized Q-SYS experience, from paging and background music distribution, to control, automation and beyond (the same feature set as the larger Cores in the processor portfolio).

Optimized for the meeting space

While it can be used across multiple installation types, Core Nano provides the AV infrastructure to enable full-room web conference integration, particularly for larger, more challenging spaces. It features USB integration with all major web conferencing applications, eight channels of acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), two VoIP softphones, Software-based Dante to enable modern microphones, and a full-featured control engine for third-party device integration.

Reduce complexity and improve scalability with the Q-SYS Ecosystem

The Q-SYS Core Nano joins a growing of AV&C processors built on a flexible software foundation that delivers features and functionality without relying on dedicated, single-purpose hardware. Like all Q-SYS Cores, the Core Nano lets integrators take full advantage of the same Q-SYS software suite to design and configure systems while end users can benefit from a more holistic user experience thanks to native Q-SYS peripherals and the system’s ability to scale your system without having to rip-and-replace your configuration file.

Features

  • 64 x 64 networked audio channels (Q-LAN / AES67) – no onboard analog audio channel support
  • 8 x AEC (acoustic echo cancellation) processors
  • up to 32 x 32 Dante audio channels (8 x 8 included)
  • USB AV bridging (8 x 8 audio + Q-SYS camera support)
  • External USB audio device host
  • Supports up to 2 VoIP softphone instances
  • Full featured Q-SYS Control engine
  • Dual gigabit ethernet ports with assignable application resources offering any combination of VoIP, Q-LAN Control, Q-LAN audio or network redundancy
  • Internal power supply
  • 1U half-width, includes mounting hardware

  • Q-SYS Core Processors
  • Q-SYS NV Series Network Video endpoints
  • Q-SYS PTZ-IP Conference Cameras
  • Q-SYS Touch Screen Control
  • Q-SYS I/O-USB Bridge

Factory Reset | Core Nano

Discover how to perform a factory reset on the Core Nano device, resetting it to its original settings and resolving any software issues that may be affecting its performance.

Procedure

Use the following steps to reset a Core Nano to its factory default settings:

  1. Press and hold the ID button on the front of the core for approximately 10 seconds. The BLUE LED should stay lit.
  2. Wait for the core to complete the reset process and reboot (this will take a few minutes).
Note: The factory reset process will reset the network settings to their default configuration and delete the
design and design history, and both the event and system information logs. The network settings that will be
reset include everything in the Networking, Access Management, and Reflect tabs in Core Manager, as well as any
contact lists configured in the Telephony tab.

As softphone information is stored in the design, it will push the softphone configuration to the Core when the
design is re-pushed. Likewise, active licenses and media files saved to the Core's hard drive and will persist
after a factory reset.

Q-SYS Training

Note: Q-SYS Discovery Protocol (QDP): This is used to discover Q-SYS products on the network by name regardless
of IP address. To advertise network presence, one multicast QDP packet is sent every second from Q-SYS
peripherals and the PC running Q-SYS Designer Software.
