======PROCEDURE PASSWORD RECOVERY TIPPING POINT======



**Fix:**

  * **1.** Establish serial communication between the PC and the IPS through the console port.

  * **2.** Restart the IPS.

  * **3.** When the Tipping Point logo appears in the TeraTerm or HyperTerminal window, immediately afterwards the word “loading” appears on the screen. At this time you must enter the key "mkey" and give enter. These letters do not appear when they are being typed so do not make any mistakes.

  * **4.** Next, if the previous step was successful, the IPS will ask: 

  Select the following security level and username and password

  * **5.** At this time we proceed to select the security level that is desired and give the user that had or create a new user.
